Hardware and fan

Hardware shows host metrics and fan management where supported.

Available options depend on your version, permissions and hardware. For missing actions, see Security and Diagnostics.

Step by step

  1. Review CPU temperature, load, memory and host data; choose a history metric.
  2. For a supported fan, test temporary PWM/duration with appropriate permission.
  3. Review wiring, GPIO, thermal curve/hysteresis, save the profile and return to Automatic.

Options explained

Manual
panel PWM 40–100%, duration 10–3,600 seconds; check override expiration.
Profile
BCM GPIO 18/14 as wired; never drive a motor directly without appropriate interface.
Curve/hysteresis
temperature sets PWM; hysteresis prevents rapid switching.
Missing RPM
does not mean stopped; authority identifies the controller.
Docker/no hardware
metrics may work without physical fan control.

Troubleshooting

Do not invent GPIO connections for unsupported hardware. Check cooling/power for high temperatures; manual control must not defeat protections.
