Remote collectors and ESP32

An ESP32 near the inverter reads its bus and sends readings to the HelioPulse core.

Available options depend on your version, permissions and hardware. For missing actions, see Security and Diagnostics.

Step by step

  1. Open the collector flashing tool; use a Web Serial compatible browser in HTTPS or localhost.
  2. Connect USB, select the correct device/firmware and keep it connected during flashing.
  3. Configure Wi-Fi, local/remote destination and RS485 RX, TX, DE/RE pins; assign the collector to equipment.

Options explained

Local
the core must be reachable; discovery may fail across subnets.
Remote
requires active remote access and the configured destination.
DE/RE
-1 is for automatic direction boards; otherwise use the board's correct pin.
Forget
removes the record, not necessarily firmware. Check readings after hardware changes.

Troubleshooting

For USB issues, check browser support and secure context. If the collector appears but has no inverter readings, check bus, driver and device address.
