Acceptance
By installing or using HelioPulse, the heliopulse.io website or the installer portal you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use these services.
The software
HelioPulse is offered free of charge and you may install and use it on your own equipment. Some included third-party components have their own licenses.
HelioPulse is in open beta: it may have bugs and its features may change.
Responsible use of electrical equipment
HelioPulse reads and, if you set it up, can change parameters of inverters, batteries, chargers and other equipment. You are responsible for the configuration and the automations you turn on.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use a qualified installer for any electrical work. Do not use HelioPulse as the only protection or safety system.
Backups
Backups are encrypted with your password or your recovery key. HelioPulse does not keep them and cannot recover them if you lose them.
If you use Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, the backups stay in your account and that provider's terms also apply.
Third-party services
Integrations and third-party services, such as Google, Dropbox, Microsoft, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Tuya or PayPal, are governed by their own terms. HelioPulse does not control their availability.
Priority support and donations
Every HelioPulse feature is free. Priority support is an optional subscription, paid through PayPal, that you can cancel at any time; it gives priority in support, not extra features.
Donations are voluntary.
Installer portal
Installers may only access the systems whose owners invite them, and must use that access only for the agreed work. We may suspend accounts that misuse it.
No warranty
HelioPulse is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, HelioPulse is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, energy production or income, or damage to equipment arising from the use of the software or from incorrect settings.
Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. We will publish any change here and update the date.
